Modular Offices

If you are shopping for modular offices then your business is probably expanding.  I'll venture to guess that if your business is growing, it is because you have made prudent and timely business decisions.  Purchasing a modular office is another business decision.  You'll want to thoroughly evaluate it, weigh the pros and cons and act decisively, but only if it makes good business sense.  So, does it make good business sense to purchase a modular office instead of going with the traditional "stick-built" construction?  Consider the following discussion.

The design flexibility of our moveable prefabricated modular offices means that they may be used for a variety of applications and, since they may be disassembled and moved, they are responsive to your changing needs.  Our modular offices are ideal for computer rooms, parts distribution areas, executive offices, administrative offices, clean rooms, supervisor offices, equipment enclosures, quality assurance offices, lunch or break rooms, conference rooms and personnel offices, just to name a few.  Additionally, these Starrco designed systems, available in Khaki, White and Grey colors (shown at the right) are engineered to be durable and maintenance free.  Please visit our Document Library to access our collection of PDF format documents and also visit our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page.

Stick-built?  Why?  Our movable prefabricated modular offices have the same structural integrity and strength as conventional construction, but also have the added advantage of mobility.  That is, you can disassemble, move and reassemble them as your needs change.  The wall panels and framework are pre-finished, creating a system that is 100% reusable.  As such, modifying and expanding existing offices is quick and easy.  Because our modular offices can be taken apart and moved, they are classified as tangible property and afforded different and more favorable tax treatment than permanent conventional structures.  See the Tax Advantages PDF file for more information.

Depiction of modular wall systemsBecause these modular office systems are available in two, three or four wall configurations, you have a very broad range of location possibilities.  A two wall design may be placed in any corner of your commercial building or industrial facility.  Three wall systems can be placed against any wall that will serve as a back wall and the four wall systems can sit anywhere on your floorplan.  You can have a clear span space of up to 40' using our industry leading extruded wall studs and offices of more than 800 square feet and multi-office projects can even be provided with their own HVAC system.  Click this link to learn more about the wall construction.  Just as a side note -- all of these modular offices can be designed to meet earthquake codes.

Your company can save money because you don't need skilled trades to install these offices, other than an electrician to connect the electrical system to the power source.  Our standard office has a conventional electrical system or you may want to upgrade to QuickTric, an optional snap together modular electrical system.  Click for an overview of the available Quick-Tric modular electrical system.  Typically, crews unfamiliar with a modular office can assemble most sizes in one work day during a weekend -- about one-fourth of the time required for conventional construction.  You are able to do this because the offices are pre-finished and cut to size, include a detailed CADD drawing and material list.  Also, the components are individually labeled for easy identification.  Click this link to view a graphic depiction of a modular office.  For an overview of the installation process, visit the installation gallery that shows the steps from unpacking to moving in.  Finish your review of the modular office materials by reviewing the modular office checklist page.
