Insulation Facings

Described below are the most popular vapor retarder facings for the fiberglass insulation products available on this website.  Disclaimer:  The picture shown is a representation of the product.  Actual appearance of the delivered product may vary slightly, particularly the color or apparent shade of the color.  This is because different monitors will display color and other properties differently.  The Documents column contains a link to a PDF file that provides specifications (courtesy of Lamtec Corporation) for the facing described in the Product Description column. 

We also show a matte black facing color which is popular for restaurants, night clubs and other applications.  All of our facings, except RFSK and Arenashield are available in this black matte finish. 

Not shown is WMP-WV (white vinyl) facing.  White vinyl is a non-reinforced, relatively cost effective product.  However, the fact that it is not reinforced requires more careful handling to avoid tearing.  It should not be used where risk of puncture or tearing is likely.  Do to workability in colder temperatures, white vinyl is not sold from mid-October to mid-March.

Polypropylene Scrim Polyester WMP-VRR HL2035 White front, metallized back. White polypropylene film, fiberglass scrim, metallized polyester. Our most popular and cost-efficient film/film facing product with a .02 perm (WVTR).		WMP-VRR Specification
Polypropylene Scrim Polyester WMP-VR HL1025 White front, kraft paper back. White polypropylene film, fiberglass & polyester scrim, 11# natural kraft paper. Lowest cost general purpose product. Excellent for chemically hostile environments.		Same as WMP-VRR
Polypropylene Scrim-Kraft WMP-10 CL5010 White front, white kraft paper back. White polypropylene film, metallization, fiberglass & polyester scrim, 14# white kraft paper. Excellent general purpose product. Specified by Army Corps of Engineers.		WMP-10 Specification
Polypropylene Scrim Foil WMP-50 CL1510 White front, metallized back. White polypropylene film, fiberglass & polyester scrim, 30# natural kraft, metallized polyester. Excellent strength and highly abuse resistant.  Provides enhanced installed appearance.		WMP-50 Specification
RFSK SL1135 Metallized front, kraft paper back. Aluminum foil, fiberglass & polyester scrim, 30# natural kraft paper. Lowest cost foil facing designed for metal buildings.  Provides .03 emissivity.	Image inadvertantly reversed.	None Available
Gymguard GYMGUARD GY1100 White front, white fabric back White polypropylene film, metallization, fiberglass & polyester fabric. Exceptionally high impact strength. Excellent for walls.		Gymguard Specification
