Line 1, position 37.Why don't you offer instant online pricing for this product?  We are working on online pricing for some straight forward "out of the box" scenarios, but that type of pricing will have to be limited because of the very nature of the products intended use.  Since the purpose of the Access-A-Deck System is to fill empty pre-existing space, our customer is driven by the limitations of that space.  For example:  what is its shape?  are there any obstactles such as support columns?  what are the height contraints?  These are things that a representative needs to evaluate on the proposed site.

'width' is a duplicate attribute name. Line 1, position 37.Is there any tax advantage to the Access-A-Deck System?  Yes.  Most units will qualify as relocatable storage or racking systems and may therefore be afforded accelerated depreciation.
 
General Questions:

Line 1, position 37.Why doesn’t my purchase order include tax?  We are only required to charge sales or use tax in those States where our company has nexus (persons or property connected to our company).  Cabot Components Corporation is located in the State of Arkansas and we are required to collect tax for shipments that will be received in Arkansas.  This does not mean that you are relieved of your responsibility to remit the appropriate tax to your State, County (Parish) or municipality.  In fact, many States now require that you report Internet purchases, for which you did not pay sales or use tax, on your annual State Income Tax return.

Line 1, position 37.If sales or use tax were otherwise applicable, would you still charge me tax if I am reselling the product?  If you possess and present a valid Resale Certificate issued by your State, then we are not required to charge you sales or use tax.  However, it is your responsibility to collect the tax from your customer and remit it to the State.

Insulation:

Line 1, position 37.I want to put the insulation in my attic space.  Are the rolls small enough to fit through my opening?  This is a tough question since it depends on the size of your attic opening.  Most people asking this question are referring to a "pull down stairs" type of opening.  Typically, the smallest dimension of these openings is 26" while a standard roll of insulation has a diameter of nearly 38".  Therefore, in most cases, you will not be able to fit a packaged roll of insulation through your opening.  Additionally, you must consider that the weight of the roll most often purchased for this purpose weighs approximately 70 pounds.  But don't despair, you can unroll the product and pull it through your opening or pre-cut it downstairs, where it is typically cooler and then take it up to the attic.  We save you some money by producing this material in long rolls versus short pre-cut sections.

Line 1, position 37.I don't know how much insulation I need for by building.  Will you calculate it for me?  Yes, we will be happy to calculate how much insulation or Solarguard you need.  Just fill out the online form and we will quote you a price, usually the same business day.

Line 1, position 37.What is Solarguard?  Solarguard is a revolutionary new reflective insulation consisting of a 1/4" fiberglass core bonded to either two layers of 99% pure aluminum or one layer of aluminum and one layer of durable white scrim-reinforced facing material, whichever you choose.

Line 1, position 37.What purpose does the facing serve on fiberglass insulation?  It is in general a vapor retarder, which if properly installed helps resist the movement of moisture toward cold surfaces where it could condense.  Proper installation is facing applied toward the "warm-in-winter part of the building.

Line 1, position 37.What is "R" value?  R-value is a measure of a materials resistance to heat flow.  In other words, how well the material resists transferring heat from one location to another.  Generally, insulation ranges from R-11 to R-38 with the higher number having greater insulating power.

Line 1, position 37.What is the benefit of adding insulation to my metal building?  Insulation in your metal building will provide some noise control in addition to condensation control and energy savings.  Depending on the facing, it may also provide enhanced light reflectivity.

Line 1, position 37.Are your offices built to my local code requirements?  Please review the National Building Code Requirements PDF document and feel free to print out the document to show your local code official.  If your code official has additional requirements, contact us and we will address any concerns or issues.  Please be aware that the local building code official has the final say as to whether or not our office system meets the local code requirements.  It is imperative that you visit your code official prior to placing an order for an office system from us or anyone else.  Also, though not required by most localities, Stamped Engineering Drawings are available.  Contact us for the current cost of this service.

Portable Buildings (Kiosks):

Line 1, position 37.What is provided with a standard kiosk?  All of our pre-assembled portable buildings come with a standard roof extension, 1/8" tempered safety glass, 1/8" vinyl floor, R3 rated insulation, an industrial knob lockset on the doors (excludes sliding doors), one (1) electrical receptacle and 100amp CB box.

Rite-Away Relocatable Units:

Line 1, position 37.Since these units are portable, what's to keep the wind from just blowing them away?  The units will not be affected by most normal winds; however, we do recommend that you purchase the optional 130 mph wind tie downs even if you are in a relatively low wind area.  Storms moving through an area can bring unexpected high winds.
